A warm welcome awaits you in......

Horbury Methodist Church

 .........at any of our activities

Sunday Services
Morning worship, commencing at 10.30am, is usually preceded by a few minutes of informal singing of worship songs. The congregation, commonly including someone of every decade from under tens to over nineties, sings heartily accompanied by an organ and led by a small choir. A loop system is installed for the benefit of the hard of hearing. The children of the congregation leave, usually after the second hymn, for teaching in an adjoining room, returning after the sermon.  Note that all our workers with young people are DBS checked.

Evening service, at 6pm - a quieter, more contemplative service.

With comfortable chairs providing all the seating the arrangement is flexible and readily accommodates special needs such as wheelchairs. There is ramp and lift access to the church, and once inside, you will find all facilities (including an accessible toilet) are under the same roof and on the same level.

Our new church and refurbished premises were opened on 10th September 2016 after many years of fundraising, hard work and prayer by members of our congregation. We are committed to using our new premises for the benefit of the community of Horbury and are looking forward to implementing new initiatives with something for all age groups.

We are a Fair Trade Church and use fairly traded products as much as we can.
